Rights of the member
During the official martial arts school hours the member is entitled to use all training institutions as well as wardrobes and bathrooms for their gender (male/female) as far as it complies with the house rules. The rights of the member pursuant to their chosen membership are not transferable. Use of equipment, premises, facilities or installations that are not included in the package booked by the member are not included in the right of use. The official martial arts lesson times will be announced by IJS LTD. However IJS LTD reserves itself the right to change these hours at any time. Health condition
The member is aware that in contact sports their own health has an impact on the safety of the training of the member and other members. The member warrants that it is in sufficient health for this sport. When in doubt the member has to consult a doctor before signing up. Any condition influencing the training of the member or members such as diseases, infirmity, disability or other medically relevant facts must be communicated to IJS LTD in writing and orally to the instructor before the start of the training session. Infringement of this part of the contract results in an automatic expulsion from training while the condition is ongoing with or without direct instruction from the trainer or IJS LTD.
Insurance and claims against IJS.LTD
Each Мember must take care of their own medical insurance. IJS LTD assumes that all members possess valid medical insurance when joining, at the time of signing this contract. Please be aware that this is a martial art and related incidents and injuries to the Member may occur. By signing this agreement, you agree that you or any relatives, spouses, heirs or representatives will not pursue any claims against IJS.LTD, its affiliates or employees in any manner whatsoever.
Sickness/Downtime/Holidays of the member
Time-limited downtime or interruptions for example due to illness, pregnancy, accident, etc. do not release from the payment obligations under this Agreement, By a medical certificate or equivalent proven long downtimes the cause of which is not related to the individual Member's can be appended contributory after the contract period. long-term sickness, relocation outside of the commuting circle from the course location(s) and in severe cases the contract may be terminated at the end of the month in which IJS LTD was informed in writing of the situation.
Covid-19
Upon the signing of this agreement the member confirms that they understand that Covid-19 is a communicable airborne disease that can spread due to the nature of the activities undertaken during training. The member is obligated to inform IJS LTD should they test positive for Covid-19 and are not to attend any training if they exhibit any of the symptoms of Covid-19. Contracting Covid-19 does not release the member from their payment obligations unless in severe circumstances. The member is obligated to inform IJS LTD of any positive Covid-19 tests or close contact with Covid-19 infected persons immediately. The member will not be permitted to attend classes for a minimum of 12 days after the date of the positive Covid-19 test. The member is required to present a negative Covid-19 test prior to commencement of training after the 12 days have elapsed.
Company holidays
The entire school will be closed for one month a year, usually two weeks in the summer and two weeks in the winter. These company holidays are included in the calculation of members' contributions and do not exempt from the obligation to pay. IJS LTD reserves itself the right to determine the exact time of closing, but will of course communicate this in advance.
Relocation of classrooms/Force Majeure
The relocation of the training location only entitled to early termination if the calculated distance for arrival extends unduly. If it is impossible for reasons outside of the control of the IJS LTD (force majeure) to provide services, the member is not entitled to damages or reimbursement but only to free extension of the contract period by the duration of the downtime.
Exclusion of liability
A liability of the instructor as well as IJS LTD even from non-contractual liability for any damages which the member incurs when visiting the training or the school or through utilization of our services is excluded insofar as this does not result from gross negligence or intentional misconduct. Likewise, IJS LTD is not liable for the loss of items brought by the member onto the premises.
Contract period and prices
This contract is agreed for an indefinite period of time.
The last page of this contract shows the currently valid price list of IJS LTD. IJS LTD offers the Member different possibilities to pay the contributions to IJS LTD for different periods of time. Depending on the duration of payment a discount is granted, furthermore there is a discount if there are siblings, then IJS LTD grants further discounts which are noted in the price list. At the conclusion of the contract the member decides for which period he wants to make the payment. The Member has to make the payment for the following period always at the latest one week before the next period.
Before the beginning of a new period the Member has the possibility to decide for another period for the payment. The payments made will be digitally recorded by IJS LTD.
Two weeks before the end of the agreed period both IJS LTD and the Member have the possibility to cancel this contract.
IJS LTD reserves the right to change the price list. This will be announced two months before the change of prices becomes effective. The announcement will be posted at the reception. If the price list is changed during a period that has already been paid by the Member, this change will not affect the period that has already been paid.
The monthly period starts on the first day of each month and ends at the end of the corresponding month. If the present contract is concluded with the member during the month, the member must make a one-off payment by the end of the month. This payment is based on how many days are still open until the end of the month. The payment period for one month serves as the basis for the price. A sibling discount is also granted here.
Furthermore, IJS LTD also offers private lessons, this takes place via a separate payment from 35,00 € per lesson, the fee depends on the required demand of the member, as well as the qualification of the booked trainer. The private lessons are to be booked separately via the administrator.
Further conditions of payment
Prior to full payment no legal claim arises to participate in the training.
The membership fees are also payable during the holidays. When the contract expires, the subscriber can visit no more than one lesson. Should the contribution not be settled the participant must stay away from school until payment of the following membership fee. Should the participant visit more than one lesson, he or she will be deemed to have renewed their membership for another month. Partial payments are accepted only in exceptional cases and by special appointment.

Sponsorship
If an external sponsorship agreement of competitors (MMA / Grappling / BJJ / Boxing / Judo / Muay Thai / Kickboxing) is obtained by a member, a share of 20% of the contract value is due to IJS LTD.
Competition clause
Members of the school are prohibited from instructing other members and non-members outside the normal training times in MMA / Grappling / BJJ / Boxing / Judo / Muay Thai / Kickboxing or martial arts in general, regardless of whether it is carried out free of charge or not.
This is dangerous and can cause injury. Members, especially with higher levels from "Blue Belt" and up are not permitted to instruct outside or inside the school premises without the prior approval of IJS LTD. Before a member instructs for profit or charitably it has to always inform and consult with IJS LTD in advance. It is at the discretion of IJS LTD whether it will agree to permit the instruction. This will normally also depend on the locality. Consent shall not be unreasonably denied. This provision will remain valid for 12 months beyond the period of membership.
If a member breaches this provision it hereby undertakes explicitly and through additional signature below this paragraph to pay a compensation of EUR 15,000 (in words: fifteen thousand Euros) to the account of IJS LTD for each infringement up to a maximum amount of EUR 100,000 (in words: one hundred thousand Euros). The amount is due immediately upon detection of a breach e.g. by foundation of a school or proven teaching activities. It classifies also as a breach of this clause to induce another member to training outside of the school even if only temporarily.
Final provisions
Special provisions in individual parts of this contract are to be understood as addition to those listed here:
- The member acknowledges to have received a copy of this application.
- These conditions remain in force between the parties should the membership be renewed or extended.
- Verbal side agreements are not valid, any amendment shall be in writing, in particular this clause.
- If parts of this contract be invalid or void, the remaining conditions remain unaffected. Instead of the invalid or void conditions occurs the relevant statutory law.
- Place of performance for both parties is the location of the course /school.
- Jurisdiction for both parties is Paphos, Cyprus
Appearance and clothing
- Respect all!
- A kimono should be worn when training BJJ and Judo.
- The kimono must be kept clean at all times.
- Shoes are not allowed on the Tatami. You may use only wrestling or boxing shoes.
- Appearing always maintained (Finger- & Toenails should be cut).
- All metal objects (Piercings & Jewellery) must be removed prior to training.
Code of conduct outside the Tatami
- Inappropriate words (swearing) should be avoided
- Private belongings outside those that are to be used during training should not be brought to the premises (examples are: strollers, skateboards, shopping bags etc.).
- Nobody except the instructor is allowed to be carrying out any form of instruciton or training without prior authorisation from the instructor. The members are also not permitted to brag about their training at all times.
- If an extended absence imminent, inform the instructor or someone from the Commission
- Should personal problems arise with classmates you should directly inform the instructor or to Commissioner.
Competition participation of the team
- The purpose of the training is to learn martial arts as an art form and as a means of self-defence. Any member that abuses these principles to engage in violent behaviour outside is liable to be expelled from the school.
- In the event of exclusion of a member, contributions paid will not be refunded.
Code of conduct on the Tatami
- Bow down before Tatami when entering and leaving.
- Bow down and shake hands with your sparring partner before every workout.
- A higher graduated person must never be challenged to sparring. A higher grade member may offer a lower grade member to engage in a friendly sparring session but only with authorisation from the instructor.
- Avoid aggression during training,
- Avoid being rough and try to apply a reasonable amount of force during training or sparring. Our goal is the sport and not to injure other people.
- Avoid nonsense, unnecessary talking or disruption of teaching.
- Avoid violent behavior.
- Focus during training to facilitate learning. Do not let anything distract you.
- Exit the Tatami never without asking for permission from the instructor. It is absolutely okay to ask for a break for personal reasons (injury, illness, requiring the restroom etc.), however no member should simply walk off the tatami without asking for permission.
- Individual questions can be asked after class or at the request of the school principal.
- In emergencies, the class must not be disturbed or requested to leave the Tatami, but only with permission from the instructor.
Graduation
Belts only be issued by Vitalii Stasiv or another high graduated coach (starting from purble belt) and based on the following criteria:
- Performance in training and in competitions
- Regular participation in training
- Understanding and maintaining the Dojo Code of Conduct
- Participation in seminars and camps
Participations
- At BJJ / grappling / MMA / Judo / Boxing / Kickboxing / Muay Thai amateur competition can be part of safety and competition reasons only after the written agreement of the IJS LTD.
- Professional participation and be professional bouts be allowed only with a separate agreement and approval of the IJS LTD.
Video preservation and data storage
Please note that we do video surveillance in the training room as well as in the reception. This serves to optimise the training process as well as for security reasons. The video surveillance data is automatically and completely deleted after a period of three months.
Severability clause
(1) The invalidity or ineffectiveness of individual provisions of this contract shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. They shall not result in the invalidity or ineffectiveness of the entire contract. The invalid or void provisions shall be reinterpreted in such a way that the economic purpose intended by them is achieved. If a reinterpretation is not possible, the contracting parties are obliged to reach an agreement that comes as close as possible to the economic purpose of the invalid or void provision.
(2) Amendments and supplements to this contract must be made in writing. This written form requirement can only be waived by written declaration of both contracting parties.
Recording video and photo material for marketing purposes
Please note that photos and videos may be taken during training for marketing purposes. These photos and videos will only be published on our website ijs-bjj.com, as well as our Facebook and Instagram page.
